Caring for your candle:

Be mindful of trimming your wicks! Too short may cause issues, too tall will definitely cause issues. Standard size to trim is recommended to be at 1/4 of an inch.

It is recommended to only allow your candle to burn down to 1/2 to 1 inch from bottom of the candle, as not to cause damage to surrounding areas, shatter the glass for your candle, or the wick could become unstable and cause a flare up. Do not leave candle unattended, near children or pets.

Mushrooming- Wicks tend to “mushroom” due to carbon build up. This could be due to the wax intake (absorption), the wick burning too long (recommended for 2-3 hours), or it could be due to having not trimmed and developed build up before reigniting your candle.

Opt out of blowing wick - Best practice to reduce smoking candles is to snuff your wick, opposed to “blowing it out”.

Follow Warning Label - In short, always ensure you have candle in sight. Avoid any drafts, remove any possible debris that could end up in wax pool (i.e. any hairs, dust, etc), and keep away from any flammable items. This may include but not be limited to: Curtains, plastics, *anything* not heat resistant. Best practice is to set candle on a stable, heat resistant surface prior to igniting.

Enclosed Candle Holders - Please keep in mind that although beautiful, enclosed candle holders will also hold in heat from the jar. This may cause issues or potential hazard with the glass candle jar being too hot.

This is not a complete list, please do additional research to know before you burn.
